The “Ukraine in the Style of Saudi Arabia” flag is a contemporary internet-era vexillological design that reimagines the national symbols of Ukraine using the aesthetic conventions of Saudi Arabia. The flag features a deep blue field—derived from Ukraine’s national colors—charged with ornate yellow pseudo-Arabic calligraphy across the upper portion and a curved sword below. The inscription is stylized to resemble Arabic script but is intended to read as a Ukrainian phrase meaning “Christ is risen,” referencing Christian religious tradition while visually echoing the shahada layout of the Saudi Arabian flag. The sword motif, rendered in matching yellow, further reinforces the stylistic homage while maintaining a distinct cultural reinterpretation.
