The Lesbian Pride Flag—specifically the widely recognized five-stripe variant—is a prominent vexillological symbol representing the lesbian community within the broader LGBTQ+ collective. The flag features five horizontal bands transitioning smoothly through a distinct color spectrum: dark orange, light orange, white, pink, and dark rose. Structurally, the design utilizes a classic fesses format to present a balanced and highly recognizable visual identity. Each hue holds specific symbolic meaning: the orange shades signify gender non-conformity, independence, and community; the central white stripe represents unique connections to womanhood; and the pink and rose tones symbolize serenity, love, and femininity.

Introduced as a modification of an earlier seven-stripe "sunset" design created in 2018 by blogger and activist Emily Gwen, the five-stripe version gained rapid widespread adoption due to its simplified presentation and ease of physical manufacturing. It was explicitly designed to be fully inclusive of butch, femme, trans, and gender-nonconforming lesbians. Over the years, this flag has largely superseded older historical variants, such as the lipstick lesbian flag or the labrys design, becoming the standard representation of lesbian identity globally. Today, it is prominently displayed during pride events, integrated into digital spaces, and recognized by major LGBTQ+ advocacy organizations worldwide.
