✒️ The Original Lesbian Pride Flag, designed by artist Teresa De Lauretis in 1999, featured a series of nine horizontal stripes in varying shades of red, pink, purple, and white. The flag was created to represent the diversity and experience of lesbians, with colors symbolizing various aspects of lesbian identity, such as femininity, love, and gender non-conformity. However, the flag's complexity and difficulty in production led to the creation of simplified versions over time, with the most widely recognized being the seven-stripe flag designed by Natalie Ilutch in 2010. Despite its limited use, the Original Flag remains a historical representation of lesbian pride and visibility.

Astounding quality

The flagmaking tool was easy to use, Vincent the Vexillilologist was incredibly helpful, and the flag quality is top-notch. It's a REAL flag, not some cringey fabric but something that creates a real sense of pride for the entire Council of Andrews. I can't recommend this service highly enough, 11/10 would recommend!!

Shop does not honor return policy!

The flag was sent folded into 16, so there are very visible fold marks.

To send a flag I would expect you would normally roll it around a cardboard tube. I tried to iron it but it didn't do much.

Also, the logo of the company is sewn to the flag. It's a national flag, you shouldn't do that.

Anyway, I requested a return and did explain my reasons, but never got reply.

Hi Jean, Thanks for reaching out! Our flags do indeed arrive folded (this is explored on https://flagmaker-print.com/faq), but these folds can be easily ironed out (low temp settings, put a towel between the flag and iron). Unfortunately we can't deliver flags in rolled up packaging because of packaging size restrictions.

We took a photo from our family album and worked with ChatGPT to create a file that reflected what we wanted. We then took that file and manually uploaded it to Flagmaker. The results were beyond great. When I showed the finished product to our neighbors, they all wanted one. We'll be ordering more soon.
