While the exact design used by the Green Mountain Boys remains unknown, a reconstruction based on surviving fragments has become the most recognized version. This reconstruction features a field of green, likely reflecting the lush greenery of Vermont's Green Mountains. Prominently displayed in the canton, a blue rectangle positioned in the upper corner next to the flagpole, is a constellation of thirteen white, five-pointed stars.
