The flag focuses on the nautical aspect of the city, as it played a massive role in growing the city from the medieval era through to the industrial era. The centre charge is a ship merged with a codfish. The ship combines elements from both fishing and merchant vessels. The pennant it flies at the top of the mast is an English pennant, making a small reference to Hull's role in starting the English Civil War. Codfish are prevalent all around the North Atlantic, where Hull's fishing vessels go and went to business, and they are a very well-known species of fish, so I see it as a fitting addition to the flag. Sitting atop the yard of the mast is a coronet - one the oldest and most used symbols of Hull, and makes reference to how we are the "King's Town" upon the Hull. The blue represents the waters of the Rivers Hull and Humber, and the white represents a strive for peace, having one of the highest crime rates in the UK.

This 36”x60” wall flag is made of 100% polyester knit; equipped with grommets for an authentic look and feel. The flag is a one sided semitransparent print perfect for indoor applications.
