Notes from the author, Sir Madman Seymour Butts the 3rd:
After Prussia won the Franco-Prussian war they claimed most of northern France. After the war, they unified the rest of the German states, but the Austrian empire saw this and invaded the small German states to try and recreated the Holy Roman Empire. However, Prussia intervened and declared war on Austria, but Austria lost the war and Prussia thought it was the right time to form the Greater Imperial Germania.
